The Perils of Web Page Design:
Some of the More Memorable Questions/Statements from Callers

"Hey there, I'd like one of those-what do you call them--web pages? Heck, if they're small, I'll take two!"

"Fred in Accounting said we should get you to do a web page for us.....So, what's a web page, anyway?"

"I didn't really call to get you to design a page for me. I've just decided that I'm going to start doing page design, and I wanted to know what you charge so that I can undercut your rates. By the way, how do you get your customers?"

"Why would I need a `Internet service provider'? Don't you just put web pages on a computer? I've got an Apple IIe in the basement; that'll work, right?"

and...

"I don't know why you think you can charge money for designing web pages. Listen, I did my own page and it looks OK. Any idiot can design a web page!"
